I highly recommend Meissner Automotive and Kurt and Vic! My car is 17 years old. Nearly every time I needed a repair, admittedly more frequently in recent years, I went to the dealer mostly as a convenience. It was near by, I could get a loaner car for free, and it got fixed. Pretty good deal, right? However, I never felt that I really got the attention that I really desired. I dealt with the service representative and not the mechanic at the dealer. I m pretty sure that over the years, the service rep s never looked at my car or was ever in the shop; he or she always had to get back to me . I was charged for every little thing. I m sure it was all needed but my invoice was always pages long. Like I was in the hospital; every bolt, nut, strap, and part. I m not saying that I shouldn t have gotten that but I m not a car guy; the reason I bring a car in is to get it running again because I can t. The rep s focus always seemed to be on showing me the invoice rather than the car. I didn t feel that anyone was really taking responsibility for fixing my car. And if something wasn t right or I needed to bring the car back for some reason; it always resulted in getting charged more money. Bottom line was that while the car eventually got fixed, I didn t feel I was getting good value or attention. I m much happier with Meissner Automotive. Kurt and Vic answer the phone when I call and know what s going on with my car. I get their attention and feel that I m getting good value, too!
